Site maintenance and responsive repairs
Provide a high quality cleaning service to rooms, communal and external areas including any cupboards, plant and storage rooms etc. as directed by the Accommodation Manager. Provide a high quality responsive repairs service to all areas of the scheme i.e. tap washers, changing locks, setting time clocks, unblocking sinks, making safe, changing light bulbs, checking white goods, repairing furniture…etc Maintain records of all repair and cleaning work carried out as directed by the Accommodation Manager. Be the first point of contact for residents to assist in dealing with emergencies i.e. burst pipes, fire alarms, making property secure.etc Liases with the Accommodation Manager over inspections of void properties. Ensure that repairs or furnishing replacements relating to empty properties are dealt with quickly and efficiently. To respond to requests to service and replace curtains, blinds or any other fixtures and fittings as directed by the accommodation manager. To undertake painting and redecorating to individual rooms or communal or external areas.
Good building knowledge and trade skills i.e. changing locks, repairs to door frames, trace remedy leaks, painting, decorating Good organisational and administration skills Good knowledge of cleaning systems and materials
5 years experience of the building trade or caretaking and cleaning duties Liaison with external contractors Previous experience of working for a landlord Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH legislation
